In verse no 448 in Yudha kantam in Vibhishana ‘s refuge chapter ( Veedanan adaikalap padalam – Vibishana is tamilised as Veedanan) kamban proclaims by Rama’s words

குகனொடும் ஐவர் ஆனேம் முன்பு பின் குன்று சூழ்வான்,

மகனொடும் அறுவரானேம்.எம்முழை அன்பின் வந்த

அகன் அமர் காதல் ஐய நின்னொடும் எழுவர் ஆனேம்.

புகல் அருங்கானம் தந்து புதல்வரால் பொலிந்தான் நுந்தை.

With Guhan the hunter king , owner of the two banks of Ganges we became five in number.. Later in Kiskinda with son of Surya, Sugriva we became six .Now with your friendship we all siblings became seven.King Dasaratha, by sending me to forest got this rare gift of having seven sons and is filled with happiness . ( he was childless for a long time ) .
